Pigmentoafro comes from what I carry with me—my roots, my identity, my memories, and the culture that has shaped me.
It is deeply connected to my journey as an Afro-descendant artist from Costa Rica and to the colors, music, nature, strength, and energy of the Caribbean. What began as a personal creative space gradually became a visual language of its own.
Throughout the collection, certain symbols, forms, and ideas return again and again. They speak about identity, resistance, love, pride, freedom, and the strength of Afro culture—not as isolated themes, but as parts of a story that continues to evolve with me.
I don’t see Pigmentoafro as a collection with an ending. I see it as an ongoing body of work—one that can live on a wall, move through fashion, become part of an object, or take on an entirely new form through collaboration.
